Placement tests are not graded per se; these are typically simply used to position students into appropriate courses. However, students should put their effort that is best into these tests to show a readiness to take college level courses and also to you shouldn’t be placed into courses which could not be needed.

VPT English

The English test has two parts: a written essay component and a multiple choice component.

The essay that is written more heavily weighted in the total English score. Students should take their some time write a essay that is complete the best of their ability. Getting ready to make the Virginia Placement Test

When students prepare to make the placement tests, the significance of reviewing material which includes previously been studied cannot be over emphasized. The placement test is not an admissions test or an aptitude test. The test measures how good students demonstrate skills and proficiencies that will indicate the courses they’ve been willing to take. Not reviewing prior to taking the placement test could place students into courses which can be below their actual skill level. This may delay a student’s progress by a number of semesters, causing disruption in course sequencing and costing extra time and cash.

Students are highly encouraged to start the review process early to give you time that is enough practice also to build confidence in using the placement test. This can ensure the most accurate course placement for each student.
